HE WROTE: The blog

FYI: One of the reasons we're doing this blog is to have a record of 2006 and to give readers insight into the 'behind the scenes' world of publishing and being an author. So you will be getting information on not only our writing of AGNES AND THE HIT MAN but also the publicity and publishing of DON'T LOOK DOWN. On top of that, we'll try to put insights we have about writing here and there. I'm under contract to write part of a book for Writer's Digest where I have to list 101 Mistakes beginning writers make, why each one is a mistake, and the solution to each mistake. Right now I have 104 mistakes listed and am slowly writing each one up. So I'll try to touch on that a little bit too as the year goes on. I plan on having a draft of that done by the end of the Spring.
But there's going to be a lot in this blog for readers and experienced writers also as we experience 'starting' out as, essentialy, new authors in terms of the partnership. So it's going to be a pretty crazy and broad ride as the year goes on.

101? Crap!!
I have the 38 most common mistakes by Bickman. I hope buying that book rather than yours isn't mistake number 1 :)

It seems that you and Jenny have a lot of very important information to offer anyone in the business of writing fiction. What interests me most is the creative process that you both engage in. When you go about your daily life, do you constantly think about your work? Do full-time writers ever get time off from writing? And do your ideas come to you at odd times or mostly when you are seated in front of the computer, focused on your craft?

(-: I'm going to have to make sure this blog is on my favorite's list. I'm wondering if you will do any snippets on the 101 mistakes -- or let us know which three don't make the final cut! (Or will they be like bonus tracks? Tacked on at the end?) I have a burning desire to know what Mistake No. 27 is (-:.
