HE WROTE: Escalating conflict

A problem I had is that it was difficult to escalate conflict in the story when Agnes was threatened with death in the very opening scene. So I'm changing that. One way to escalate is to lower conflict initially. Makes a lot more sense.

Disclaimer: This is not a 'suck-up' comment.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the blog posts and reading how the two of you write separately and together.

Jenny's one of my writing idols. (Again, not sucking up. It's the truth.)

Looking forward to hearing you both in person at the Florida conference.

Have to add my non-suck-up comment.

Lots of writer blogs purport to be "bird's eye views" into an author's process, but this one truly is. Thanks for sharing the day-to-day with us. It helps to know real authors go through the same agonizing birth pains (sorry, Bob) we aspiring ones do.

Hope you guys are getting something out of spilling your writing guts as well!

Look forward to seeing you in Arizona this April.

Hey, whatever works vis-a-vis conflict. Just don't scare the horses.
