SHE WROTE: Where We Are, Where We're Gonna Be

I keep thinking Bob will post because it's his turn, but he's out of town, and also he'd be nuts to post while people are still telling him what a hero he is for coming through with the poker-playing clams, so here's an update:

Bob's at a writer's conference in Tucson, doing one-on-ones the last time he e-mailed.

I'm at home, trying to get Trudy out the door (last rewrite) and writing a scene where Agnes and Joey (Shane's uncle, Joey the Gent Torcelli) are discussing cole slaw. Made the mistake of telling Bob that and got an "arghhh" e-mail back (that was the whole e-mail).

As for where we're gonna be, we just got the tentative tour schedule:

I'm so excited that y'all will be within a 'decent' drive from me in February. Um, just to let you know for your websites, the South Carolina Book festival has a website. http://www.schumanities.org/bookfestival.htm

yay you are coming to ATlanta twice. People in the south do buy books, dont know why we got that rap.............
On the travel note (can you tell I am both a mother and a mental health professional?? I just want to help so damn bad it hurts)
Could you arrange, thru publisher ot whoever, to always stay with the same hotel chain? It should get a discount (they should like that) but for you it would make the room more familiar, maybe the internet hookup, etc.
I used to have to go to Nashville for mental health conf all the freaking time (including pregnant with morning sickness when the sprinklers broke and soaked me as I puked, but thats another story, and likely not a problem you all are sweating)
I reccomend Wwesting if theyll spring for it as the bed are actually comfy..............but the trick is to make it more easily navigated.........

OK, need to proof...my recomendation is Westin........and the trick is to make all the gadgets easy to navigate, like the internet hookup, phone etc.

I like Westins and Sheratons for the bed, but, ridiculously, they still charge for high-speed 'net access. Go for the Hilton brands -- Doubletree, etc. Considering the amount of time spent blogging and emailing each other from separate rooms, the free Internet access is a plus.

Now about that schedule... I know you can't go everywhere, but we fans who live in Florida reserve the right to disappointment. I know we live in the hurricane zone, but is that a legitimate reason? *g*

Note to self: Purchase DLD before RWA Conf. Bring to Atlanta for signatures.
