HE WROTE: The Golden Gate Bridge
Just saw it from the instructor lounge at the conference. Of course the splendor was slightly intruded upon by Jenny seated in a chair asking: "Now why is this character doing this?"
So we solved that character problem the easy way: we got rid of her.
I've already done three panels and Jenny has done NONE, I'll have you know. Tsk, tsk.
I have to do a panel after lunch-- which I'm skipping-- and then FINALLY Jenny does her first panel with me where we're doing our collaboration talk.
As far as the book tour, the dates posted are what we know so far. There will be almost double that in the end. Pretty much all of April into the beginning of May will be on the road. We did figure today only 9 airports though. We're going to drive in certain areas as much as possible to hit various cities.
OK, now I'm in the lobby and Jenny is in her room and we're emailing each other about the book trying to figure out characters.
Yes, we're strange.
The collab talk went well. I think.
It's Saturday night crash time now. Four sessions kind of takes it out of you.
We're trying to streamline Agnes. Un-complicate the plot which helps. I think we got a lot done and a lot more will be done tomorrow.
We also discussed what kind of keynote we'll do together. I think we're doing one in San Diego next month. Right now the title is "33 Years of Solitude". Probably not the most inspiring title so we're working on that. But basically the concept is to trace both our careers to show how small steps along the way eventually brought about the collaboration.
So. Brain dead.
More tomorrow.

When are you guys coming to Australia? specifically, Townsville, near the pointy top of the country? I'd love to see you both in live action banter.
Writing is all about small steps, isn't it? That's one of the most important lessons I've learned.
33 Years of Solitude? I kinda like the title.
Jeez, I get tired just "listening" to the two of you! Hope Sunday goes well.
How about 33 years Alligator Berefit? or, It's a Moot Point, or a Small Step for a writer, a giant leap for Readers, or..... If all else fails break into a song and dance number. Something that lets Jenny wear a gauzy Ginger Rogers dress......
You have probably had a couple of hundred recommendations of what to do with any free time or places to eat in San Francisco, but if you are near the Ferry Building and if you like oysters, go to the Hog (I think that is misspelled) Island Oyster Bar. I went there last October and had some of the best oysters on the half shell (the sweetwaters) and a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich. Jessie
And I missed it all. I hope you guys at least had a good time. I don't suppose you actually got to see any of the city. Sigh.
You both were terrific together. I can say that. I was there!!! LOVE 33 years of solitude!
