SHE WROTE: San Diego So Far

We're here. I forgot Moot. I also left the notes for my half of the keynote at home on my desktop computer. Bob said, "Why do you use two computers?" and then gave me the three different sets of notes we'd already done. I said, "Because my desktop has a huge screen and I love it," and read the notes and realized they didn't really have any relationship to the fourth set of notes I'd done on the plane, trying to remember the first three sets. Bob said, "Do what you need to do, I'll make it work," which is practically his motto by now, poor guy. We're working all day and a good chunk of the evening (we're being auctioned off for dinner) so later for you guys because I have to use the rest of the time before we speak to figure out a fifth set of notes that don't work with the first four. (We're on the West Coast so it's three hours earlier from the time stamp.)
Please send collaborator sympathy Bob's way. He so deserves it this weekend.

Well I've heard you speak Jenny and you're great, you could do it sans notes, blindfolded. I've never heard Bob give a talk but have been to his retreat. You guys are naturals, you love what you do and it comes across that way. And you're both funny. I'm looking forward to the conference in Scottsdale, then I'll see you in action as "The Gator Team." Can't wait.
So, forget notes have fun and don't get auctioned off for more than dinner. ; )Unless of course you want to, but then don't give us the graphic details.

LOL--great idea to be auctioned off. Hope you don't get anybody too weird but then you can always use the experience in a book!

I'm sure you'll both be great, even with 5 sets of notes.

I read that phrase -- "auctioned off for dinner" -- and it sounded bizarrely cannibalistic, and reminded me of those weird restaurants where every steak is a different price.

Don't get eaten for dinner. We'd miss you. And I don't know if we'd ever forgive San Diego.

Hey, wait a minute Robena, if they do that I *want* the details.

Courage & sympathy, Bob, plus any needed inspiration, spur-of-the-moment brilliance, and an infinite supply of humor!

Oh mercy, I don't think anybody needs to spend time worrying about Bob. He looks perfectly capable of finding lots of sympathy on his own!

I'm so jealous of Robin, that gets to actually be there in San Diego, that I can't hardly stand it. I can't wait to hear how it foes, especially being auctioned off. Oh that I was still a West Coaster, and riding that wooden coaster out at PB...

God only knows what an abandoned Moot is going to get up to on her own. She's going to throw a gator party and drink all your booze. You'll find iguana footprints in the butter and know something Moot had other lizard types over.

Eileen--sort of a reptilian version of that commercial for Tidy Cat Multiple Cats with the Persian with the lampshade on his head?

Hey, downundergal, haven't heard from you on the blog for a while. How did the big cyclone affect you in Brisie? Called home tonight, they're all doing okay. Brother in Townsville okay. Hope you guys are, too. Weird weather everywhere these days, another snowstorm in Sth California and in mid-March. What's happening?

I betcha Moot partied like a wild animal the entire weekend. Have fun figuring out where all the tail tracks lead ;-)

Dear Jenny,

For those of us using two (or more) computers, I've grown to love www.logmein.com. When I forget my files on another computer, I can log into it via a standard web browswer and retrieve them remotely.

You might need it.

Cheers,
Pam T.
