SHE WROTE: Launch
I'm just about out the door. Bob leaves a little later; he has to stop by Skirt Magazine and get that picture taken you've all been asking about before he catches the first leg of his connecting flight. Then NYC for both of us. I should say something inspiring here, but it's all I can do to hit the right keys at this hour, so I'll just say, Thank you so much for sticking with us this long and for cheering and jeering us on. You've made Bob something close to cheerful which is a miracle, and we are both very grateful.
And now, da plane. Argh.

Go get 'em, Jenny and Bob!
This is it! So exciting, and of course, terrifying and stomach-churningly sick-making and probably far too early in the morning, but great as well, right? It's going to be a rip-roaring success and even if you're tired by the end of it, you'll both be so jazzed that you'll be looking back saying, "worried? Nah, we were never worried!"
And the Skirt picture - yay! I was so sure that he'd chicken out. I am impressed that he's going through with it. Perhaps you should get him to blow it up into a big poster size and then you can stick it up on the stands near Moot so that you have a handy reference point when he's nipped off and left you to it for a moment. "See him, that's my writing partner. What a guy. Think I'll keep him".
Anyway, remember your talking points and knock 'em dead. Metaphorically speaking, that is. No little finger action, Bawb.
Go Bob! Go Jenny! Have a great tour!

Go! GO! GOOOOOO!!!! It's going to be marvelous...the book, I mean. Everything else is more like turnips at this point, but try to pretend it's gravy. Remember we're cheering you on behind the scenes!!! Go promote your good book!
Random Thoughts:
Jeez! I had a full weekend doing the guilty working mom, catch up with the kids thing, and look at what I've missed.
Ready and set have come and gone, now it is GO GO GO!
I've tried almost every bookstore in Tulsa for an early copy of DLD - no luck. Tomorrow first thing I'm at a NYT reporting store paying full price.
'Slow Men' - is it available for pre-order from amazon.com yet?
Bwab's subtle snark is hilarious!
Be careful with Moot at the Bronx zoo.
Bob does deserve some slack for carrying that travel bag.
I too mourn with Jen for the loss of the shoes. But, consider the good fortune of the budget challenged person that benefits from her donation.
Hope the SKIRT shoot goes well. I've still not found the site on the web.
As I was catching up on the blogs from the weekend, I was visualizing Steve Martin in Parenthood - when he and Mary Steenburgen are at the school play and the images are sort of rollercoaster meets funhouse mirror.
Jenny and Bob travel safe, enjoy your success. Don't worry if you forget anything, cause you can buy what you need or put the word out, and the CB's will take care of it for you.
The Cherry Bomb's have got your backs.
12 hours and counting (CST)

We're just 'taking one for the team' and glad to be of service!
Loving being a cherry bomb and still wish you were coming to Philly!

You'll knock 'em dead - your B game is better than most people's A games.
Good luck! Calm days and safe flights! Traveling mercies!
A day late, but still...waving my pompoms and giving a Cherry Bomb cheer!
Have a great tour!
